November 2005 to present – Serving as a tecnology consultant and web design consultant in our firm’s contract with Villa Julie College to advise and assist in developing their Graduate Program in Forensics Studies online, helping meet criteria for Middle States Accreditation (granted April 2006) and Quality Matters™ [QM] standards. Transform Leaders, Developed Gateway for Villa Julie College's distance learning program.
bullet Towson University, Adjunct Instructor, Developed and updated courses including online supplements in Blackboard for the ISTC program.
bullet The Community College of Baltimore County, Assistant Professor of Internet and Multimedia Technology (IMMT) and Computer Graphics and Visual Communication (CGVC) (2000.present), Currently teaching Digital Imaging (on ground and online), Introduction to Web Publishing, Multimedia Authoring I, and Introduction to Computer Graphics. bullet Grant Funded National Science Foundation -ATE DUE 0202260: Co-PI for Instructional Multimedia (9/1/02-8/31/05, $434,978, Community College of Baltimore County Essex, Sylvia Sorkin PI).Instructional Multimedia: Curriculum, Professional, and Educational Materials Development for Science, Mathematics, and Technology. This project included a Teaching Instructional Multimedia in Mathematics, Science and Technology to secondary and higher education faculty (TIM2S2) is enabling secondary school teachers and college faculty in Baltimore County and the surrounding region to effectively integrate computer technology into their classrooms.
bullet Grant Funded National Science Foundation-ATE DUE 9950056:Co-PI for Internet & Multimedia (4/1/99-7/102, $272,000, Community College of Baltimore County, Essex, Sylvia Sorkin, PI) Curriculum, professional, and educational materials development for Science, Math, and Technology. This project Led by Sylvia Sorkin and Barbara Mento enabled the development of the IMMT, MSDE approved state wide degree program.
bullet Grants Submitted: NSF-ATE Online Learning Kit: Asked to resubmit with new partner. The Online Learning Kit is a comprehensive tool for transitioning traditional students to the online learning environment. Presented at various national meetings.
bullet Grants Submitted: NSF-ITEST Educational Multimedia Development for Mathematics and Science. This project brings faculty and students together to develop multimedia learning tools and effective instruction online Learning objects.
